Joshua Matthew Robertson

December 1, 1996 - April 27, 2015

Joshua Matthew Robertson, 18, of Salem Oregon, died suddenly on April 27, 2015 as a result of a tragic longboarding accident. He was born on Dec 1, 1996, in Foundation Valley Ca, Son of Jason and Monica (Jara Franco) Robertson and beloved big brother of Alex Robertson. He had attended Livingstone Adventist Academy and recently was in his senior year at West Salem High School, where he was on track to graduate in June.

Joshua was an avid outdoorsman and loved nature. Joshua was involved in many sports and was especially fond of Baseball. Joshua loved the snow and was on skis ever since he was able to walk, he also enjoyed snowboarding, snowmobiling and backpacking. Joshua traveled extensively with his family and had many adventures with them including shark sightings while scuba diving and a hands on encounter with piranha's while in the Amazon.

Joshua's recent hobbies included Horticulture, Hydro gardening and had contemplated being a Botanist, Naturopath or following in his Dad's fine tradition of serving in our countries Military. Joshua's walk with God through the church and love for life was what people admired most about. His handsome looks and that great big smile could always light up a room and his loving presence will forever be in our hearts.

Joshua is survived by his parents Jason and Monica and his sister Alex. He also leaves his grandparents, James and Joanne Robertson, and his grandmother, Juanita Franco. He is also survived by his Aunt Michelle Oksanen, his Uncle Cesar Franco, His dog Sunny, cousins and many many friends.

Visiting hours will be: Saturday May 2nd from 1-6 pm at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service in Salem.

Visitation to continue on: Sunday May 3rd at 10 am located at the East Salem Seventh-day Adventist Church 5575 Fruitland Road NE Salem, OR 97317.
